All Day Every Day Kindergarten will serve as the only kindergarten offering starting with the 2014-15 school year for students in Hastings Public School. For several years, the Hastings School District has offered families a fee-based option for a full-day kindergarten program along with a free, rotation day kindergarten option. As the result of recent changes to the state student funding formula, Minnesota school districts are able to access funding in 2014-15 that allows for them to provide all-day kindergarten for free to all families. Text Messaging Service Now Available to Parents 11/21/2013 12:20:55 PM Hastings Public Schools is excited to announce the launch of a new service that will enhance communication by allowing the district to deliver important information to parents via SMS text messaging.
This service is not intended to replace existing means of communication, rather it will enhance them. The district will only use the service to provide information that is timely and relevant.
In order to participate in the new service, you must have a cell phone on file with the School District, and then parents must indicate willingness to receive text messages to their phones. The process is simple and only takes a few seconds to complete.
Please click above for more information on how to opt into this new service.
