We would like to send out a huge “Thank You” to Jeff and Stacy Carlson! They recently presented nine elementary classrooms across the district with $1,000 each in support of the Adopt-a-Classroom program. The donation was made available through the Ruth Gale and George W. Doffing Charitable Fund.  Our teachers were absolutely stunned when presented the money gifts, as they had no idea it was coming.  The students in those classrooms were also astonished. What a great experience for them to see firsthand what generosity and giving means.

In deep appreciation, we again say “Thank You” to Jeff and Stacy Carlson in selecting our district to receive such a wonderful gift!

Vision 2025
3/24/2015 8:28:08 AM

In late spring of 2014, the Vision 2025 Initiative was launched. A lot has been going on behind the scenes so we thought it was time to provide the community with a recap of what has been taking place. Please take a few minutes to watch and listen as Board Chair, Vince O'Brien walks you through the process and what is next as the process continues.  A link has been provided below, but the video is also available on our our District Facebook page.

Please click above for more information on mission of Vision 2025.

Hastings Public Schools now on Facebook!
2/26/2015 10:46:54 AM

We are excited to announce the launch of the Hastings Public Schools’ Facebook Page.   As a school district we are always looking for new ways to communicate effectively in order to develop and deepen our relationships with our students, parents, staff and community. As a district we strive to inform, listen to, and engage the community we serve in order to celebrate, support, and share the mission of our district.  Facebook is just one more tool we will utilize to make this happen.

School District Bullying Report Form
3/11/2015 2:53:58 PM
On April 9, 2014 Governor Dayton signed the Safe and Supportive Schools Act. This act required Minnesota school districts to implement a Bullying Policy beginning in the 2014-2015 school year. Our district had had a bullying policy in place for a number of years and the new legislation provided an opportunity for review and refinement. Please click above for more information or to download the district's Bullying Report Form.

Weather Related Closing and/or Delay Information
1/6/2015 11:59:38 AM
The Hastings Public Schools website is the fastest and most accurate to find out if the district has closed or delayed their start time. This is the first place where this information will appear once determination has been made. By checking the web you can avoid missing our school district listing while watching the television or having to flip through channels because you see Hastings Public Schools listed on one channel but not on another. In addition, we will continue, as always, to have our closing information announced on KDWA Radio, 1460 AM and Channels 4, 5, 9 and 11.
