NOTE FROM MRS. BELL 8/29/2011 3:05 PM
WHEN STUDENT PICK-UP OR BUSING PLANS CHANGE AT THE END OF THE DAY
Anytime achild’send of day plans changeyou will need to notify their teacher of the change. We will not allow any child to deviate from their regular going home route without a note giving your permission. Often times a child will inform the teacher at the end of the day that they are “being picked up today”. There is not time to verify if this is correct so teachers often call the office to check. Beginning at 3:00 the office gets very busy with parents, phone calls, etc. so there is no free time for secretaries to verify the child’s plans.
Thank you for assisting us by making sure that your child’s teacher is aware of any changes in their after school routine by keeping them informed.
Weather Related Closing and/or Delay Information 12/15/2011 12:08:34 PM The Hastings Public Schools website is the fastest and most accurate way to simply find out if the district has closed or delayed their start time. This is the first place where this information will appear once a determination has been made.
By checking the web you can avoid missing our school district listing while watching the television scroll or having to flip through channels because you see Hastings Public Schools listed on one channel but not on another.
In addition, the School District will continue, as always, to have our closing information announced on KDWA Radio, 1460 AM and Channels 4,5,9 and 11.

Courtesy Bus Routes for Secondary Students 1/12/2012 3:39:54 PM In an effort to accomodate secondary students grades 5 - 12, who live within the walking zone to the Middle School and High School, Courtesy Bus Routes have been established for the 2011-12 School Year at no charge to parents. These Courtesy Routes will replace the "Fee to Ride" Program that was available to secondary students in the past. Please click above to see more information about how the routes work and to see a map of the of locations.
