As the result of recent changes to the state student funding formula, Minnesota school districts are able to access funding in 2014-15 that allows for them to provide all-day kindergarten for free to all families. This service is not intended to replace existing means of communication, rather it will enhance them. The district will only use the service to provide information that is timely and relevant.
In order to participate in the new service, you must have a cell phone on file with the School District, and then parents must indicate willingness to receive text messages to their phones. The process is simple and only takes a few seconds to complete.
